American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehab position in Tuscaloosa, AL, requiring 2 years of experience and an active AL or Compact RN license.
Details- Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
- Patients include stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary diagnoses working toward improved functional ability and independence
- Multi-disciplinary team environment with daily provider rounding and 24-hour medical supervision
- Therapy equipment in use includes body weight support systems, treadmills, Dynavision machines, and simulation vehicles
- EMR system is Meditech (experience not required)
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required
- Floating to other units and hospitals is required
- 13-week contract
- Active AL state or Compact RN license required — no temporary or pending licenses accepted
- No hits (past or current) on nursing license allowed
- Active license must be in hand at time of consideration
- BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross)
- NURSYS verification required
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN) minimum
- 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of recent experience in inpatient rehab
- Current Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration
- Provide 24-hour nursing care and medical monitoring to rehabilitation patients in collaboration with physiatrists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
- Virtual orientation will include competency-based modules — no HealthStream modules required prior to start
- Timekeeping system is Centricity
- Solid navy scrubs required
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restrictions
