Data Collection: 6/20/2025 Unit Information: Respiratory Therapy Location: Bay Area Address: 7101 S Padre Island Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412 Floor: 3rd Building: Main Hospital General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds 24 Bed ICU, 16 Bed ED, 16 Bed NICU, 40 Bed Med/Surg, 25 Bed Tele Number of Staff 20 Respiratory Therapists Type of staff: o Day Shift 1 Supervisor, 3-4 RT s o Night Shift 3-4 RT s Patient Ratios n/a Type of equipment 840, 980, V60, Vapotherm, Hamilton MR1 and C1 EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Critical care experience with adults Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. NICU Level 3, use Oscillators, InoMax, 980s, Vapotherm PALS, NRP List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Patient assessment Administer therapies, including oxygen, aerosol medication delivery, chest physiotherapy Assist with bronchoscopies at the bedside and in the endoscopy suite Assists with placement of artificial airways Initiates, monitors, and maintains mechanical ventilation Assists with the transportation of ventilator-dependent patients Responds to emergent patient situations and ensures airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required Assists at moderate and high-risk deliveries for neonatal stabilization and/or resuscitation Serves as a clinical resource, providing education to patients and their families, as well as staff Performs a variety of duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: RCP license with Texas Medical Board RRT with National Board for Respiratory Care ACLS BLS Floating Area(s): Doctors Regional Medical Center RT Department Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Pewter Grey Scrubs Weekends and On call(if any) Rotating weekends Show more
