Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a day shift travel assignment in an 854-bed hospital's Respiratory Services department in Asheville, NC.

Details
  • Work in a large 854-bed hospital's Respiratory Services department in Asheville, NC
  • Adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations across critical care units and general floors
  • Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients
  • Equipment includes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport vent, V60 non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Day shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  • At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Floating required to all critical care units and floors
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) — license required if applicable
  • North Carolina Respiratory Therapy license required
  • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
  • NRP preferred (required if caring for neonatal patients)
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • Professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
Additional Information
  • Staffing includes 15–20 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines on day shift
  • The facility is a regional referral center with a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and a children's hospital with pediatric emergency services
  • Scrub color: Medium Gray/Pewter
