Overview Registered Respiratory Therapist (Respiratory Therapy – Registered) in Burlington, Vermont, United States. Start date: 03/26/2026. Duration: 4 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,230 to $2,407. Shift: 3x12-hour Day shifts. Setting: hospital inpatient unit on a travel - temporary assignment. This position requires active credentials and availability to begin in the near term. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,230–$2,407 per week Contract duration: 4 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts Start date: 03/26/2026 Setting: inpatient hospital environment No guaranteed hourly commitment (contract-based) Responsibilities Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult inpatients, including adult ICU and ED, and general pediatric patients (no NICU or PICU requirements). Manage ventilator support, airway clearance techniques, oxygen therapy and aerosolized treatments as prescribed. Monitor patient status, adjust therapies per clinical protocols, perform respiratory procedures and document findings in the Epic EMR. Collaborate with physicians, nurses and the multidisciplinary team; participate in rounds and contribute to care plans; ensure patient safety and infection control standards. Respond to respiratory emergencies within scope of practice; maintain equipment readiness and ensure proper documentation of interventions. Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling; weekends may be required; no routine on‑call obligation; maintain professional communication with the care team. Requirements Active Respiratory Therapist license on file; must be an RRT (CRT not accepted) Certifications: BLS, NBRC Verification, ACLS, PALS, NRP Minimum 1 year of inpatient RRT experience (adult ICU, adult ED and general pediatric care; NICU/PICU not required) Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years Teaching hospital experience required Availability to start within the next week Benefits and Support Travel assignment with dedicated coordinator support Weekly pay in the stated range 4‑week contract with potential for extension based on department needs and performance Credentialing and onboarding assistance through the recruiting team #J-18808-Ljbffr
