Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

\n\n

Job Details:

\n

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
\n• 13-week contract assignment starting ASAP
\n• Float throughout hospital to all units as needed
\n• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule
\n• Can be placed on low census/on-call status
\n• Call back minimum of 2 hours when called in
\n• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
\n• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, ARRT or NBRC license, Michigan respiratory license
\n• NRP certification preferred
\n• Minimum 1+ year respiratory therapy experience required
\n• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred
\n• Experience required in basic respiratory therapies, arterial blood gas draws, non-invasive and invasive ventilator management, assess and treat protocols
\n• Equipment experience: HAMILTON GV VENT, LTV VENT, C1 VENT, EPIC EMR, MGC PFT BODY BOX, GE SEER HOLTERS, GE MAC5500 EKGS, PHILLIPS V60 BiPAP, PYXIS DOSE MANAGEMENT
\n• Unit-specific skills include home sleep testing, Holter monitoring, EKG, event monitors, nebulizers, pulmonary function testing, patient education, OB deliveries, trauma/ED
\n• Provide care for all age groups and work independently covering the facility
\n• Scrubs dress code required
\n• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per facility policy
