Respiratory TherapistShift: Three 12-hour shifts per week, days or nightsWork Arrangement: On-SiteDepartment: Respiratory TherapyFacility: Capital Region Medical Center 1125 Madison St., Jefferson City, MOCompensation:In exchange for meeting special scheduling commitments to work a 12-week based program the following premium rates apply: Base Pay Range: $41.16/hour Special Pay: Additional $20.00 per hour (Tiger Flex Differential) Shift Differentials:o Additional $2.75 per hour for evening shiftso Additional $4.00 per hour for night shiftso Additional $3.00 per hour for weekend shiftso Additional $5.75 per hour for weekend evening shiftso Additional $7.00 per hour for weekend night shiftsAbout The DepartmentOur Respiratory Therapy Department provides comprehensive care in a community hospital setting with daily patient volumes ranging from 70110 patients. Respiratory therapists work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other clinical professionals to deliver high-quality respiratory care across multiple patient populations. The department supports a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and a Level II Nursery, offering therapists the opportunity to manage both critically ill adult patients and neonatal populations. Our therapists are actively involved in advanced respiratory care including mechanical ventilation management, non-invasive ventilation, airway management, and emergency response. Respiratory therapists gain hands-on experience with modern respiratory equipment, including Servo-i Ventilator mechanical ventilators and Philips V60 Ventilator systems for non-invasive ventilation. The department also provides experience with specialized therapies such as nitric oxide delivery using the NoxBox Nitric Oxide Delivery System. Therapists play an active role in a variety of advanced bedside procedures, including: Assisting with endotracheal intubation Participating in bedside bronchoscopy procedures Managing mechanical and non-invasive ventilation Administering aerosolized medications and airway clearance therapies Providing neonatal respiratory supportOur department offers a supportive environment where respiratory therapists develop a broad skill set and maintain a high level of clinical involvement in critical care and procedural support.About The JobMU Health Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respiratory Therapist for a local 12-week Tiger Flex assignment. Provide Respiratory Therapy Activities including the following collection and analysis of blood gas samples, oxygen therapy and specialty medical gas administration, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, inhaled medication administration, airway clearance techniques and airway maintenance, and pulmonary diagnostic testing and clinical monitoring.Act as member of the Code Blue, Rapid Response Team, and Trauma Response Team.Provide patient documentation through the electronic medical record.Follow infection control and safety standards.Educate and advise patients' families on respiratory therapy procedures. Provide education to students and other health care providers.Participate in Department Performance Improvement Project.Pulmonary Function Lab (with additional training) Perform advanced pulmonary function testing procedures. Assist with basic and advanced bronchoscopy procedures.May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.Required QualificationsRespiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure by the Missouri Respiratory Care board.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).Preferred Qualifications Additional license/certification requirements as determined by hiring department.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation.
