Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NICU
\nLocation: Macon, GA
\nWe are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a Level III NICU team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and be proficient in providing respiratory care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care patients.
\nRequired Certifications:

- RRT \n
- BLS \n
- ACLS \n
- NRP \n
- PALS \n
Required Skills & Experience:
\n- \n
- Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, and NICU experience \n
- Neonatal respiratory care, including high-risk deliveries, neonatal intubation, capillary/umbilical blood gases, and ventilator management \n
- Airway management, including intubation, extubation, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and pulmonary hygiene \n
- Ventilator management (CPAP, BiPAP, IMV, SIMV, High Frequency Oscillator, Pressure/Volume Ventilators, weaning, and troubleshooting alarms) \n
- Oxygen therapy (HFNC, ET Tube, Bag-mask ventilation, Oxygen tanks, Trach collar) \n
- ABG collection and interpretation, Basic EKG \n
- Experience treating patients with ARDS, Aspiration, Bronchoscopy, Pneumonia, Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS), and Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN) \n
- Administration of respiratory medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Pulmicort, Spiriva, Tobramycin, Xopenex, Racemic Epinephrine, Perforomist, and other respiratory therapies \n
Preferred Skills:

- Teaching or Trauma Center experience \n
- Pediatric intubation \n
- Nitric Oxide (iNO), Flolan, Mucomyst, Bicarbonate, Terbutaline, Theophylline \n
- Chest Physiotherapy \n
- Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) \n
- Neonatal and patient transport experience \n
The therapist must be able to function independently in a fast-paced critical care environment, float within the facility as needed, and provide high-quality respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients.
