American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with current NICU/PICU experience for a night shift travel assignment in a Level 3 NICU at a Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center in Miami, FL.

  • NICU/PICU Respiratory Therapy unit at a 447-bed tertiary care and teaching facility, Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, Level 3 NICU, and Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Miami, FL
  • \n
  • Works with neonatal and pediatric patient populations
  • \n
  • Equipment used includes high-flow devices, 3100A oscillator, Bunnell ventilator, Servo ventilators, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and standard nebulizers
  • \n
  • Documentation system: Meditech (experience preferred)
  • \n
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • \n
  • May float to adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BiPAP, CPT, and similar treatments
  • \n
  • 13-week contract
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RRT license and certification required — license required if applicable
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital experience as an RRT
  • \n
  • Current NICU/PICU experience required
  • \n
  • Must have active experience within the specialty within the last 6 months
  • \n
  • Required certifications: BLS, NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics, NRP Advanced 9th Edition), and PALS
  • \n
  • ACLS required per facility policy for Respiratory Therapists
  • \n
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
  • \n
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • \n
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
  • \n
  • Two professional references required (Florida state requirement)
  • \n
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates accepted
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Provide respiratory treatment, care, and evaluation for neonatal and pediatric patients with respiratory diseases using advanced technologies and medication delivery
  • \n
  • Department is led by a Director and Manager, with one Supervisor/Charge Therapist per shift alongside regular staff
  • \n
  • Multidisciplinary, collaborative team approach to patient care
  • \n
  • Meditech experience preferred by the hiring director
  • \n
  • Required scrub color: light gray (silver)
  • \n
  • AHA or ARC certifications accepted
