Job Description:
The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for performing scrubbing and/or circulating duties during surgical procedures and managing patient admissions within the operative suite. This role ensures adherence to standards and aseptic techniques while collaborating with the surgical team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room for patients and surgical procedures.
- Assemble equipment and supplies, ensuring all equipment is functional and necessary implants are available.
- Serve as a communication liaison for patients, families, and surgical team members.
- Follow appropriate aseptic techniques during procedures.
Qualifications:
- Trauma Experience - Required
- Current and Active RN State license or Compact - Required
- Operating Room (OR) Experience: Minimum 3 years - Required
- Certifications: PALS, BLS, and ACLS - Required
- ASN - Required | BSN - Highly Desired
- Permanent Address should be 50+ miles from the facility
