Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a qualified Teacher for the Visually Impaired to serve a group of 20-23 students with diverse needs. The position is based onsite in Lillington, NC and requires travel to support the students effectively within the school district.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with visual impairments
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to enhance student learning
• Utilize assistive technologies and adaptive materials appropriate for visually impaired students
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license or certification is required
• Experience working with students who have visual impairments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Lillington, NC
