**Education:**\n\n- Meets requirements for registry by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.\n\n**Preferred Qualifications:**\n\n- Six months experience preferred working in the performance of ultrasound and must be registry eligible.\n\n**Skills and Qualifications:**\n\n- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment.\n- Utilize hands to manipulate transducer during exams.\n- Use calculator, write, and use computer keyboard.\n- Physically able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment.\n- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and climb as required.\n- Handle patients gently and feel pulse points, temperature, and skin texture.\n- Hear alarms, conversations, and signals from equipment.\n- Read and interpret exam results and medical documentation.\n- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers for reporting and charge entry.\n- Remember testing protocols and interpret test results.\n- Communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking.\n- Reason through decisions regarding supplies and abnormal exams.
