Position Type: 13-Week Contract
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (8-hour days)
Pay: 40 hours scheduled, 32 hours guaranteed per week. $2716 Weekly Gross ($1400 taxable and $1316 stipends)
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced X-Ray Technician to join our healthcare team in Glens Falls, NY, for a 13-week contract. This position requires performing X-ray procedures in the operating room. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of current X-ray experience, specifically in an operating room setting, and must be IV Power Injector certified.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform X-ray procedures in the operating room.
Educate patients regarding procedures, ensuring patient understanding and cooperation.
Review patient history and physician's orders.
Position patients and operate X-ray equipment to obtain high-quality images.
Ensure proper imaging techniques and patient positioning to achieve diagnostic accuracy.
Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning the patient and repeating procedures.
Document patient information and imaging results accurately using Cerner EMR.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of current X-ray experience, preferably in an operating room setting.
IV Power Injector Certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
New York State license required.
Previous/current travel experience strongly encouraged.
RTO requests after upload will not be approved. No more than 5 days of RTO accepted (less is better).
