Job Description
First Bank is currently seeking a proactive, relationship‑driven Treasury Management Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll help businesses optimize their banking operations by delivering tailored treasury‑management solutions, onboarding clients to cash management products, and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the relationship lifecycle. Duties include:
Business Development & Relationship Growth
- Generate new depository relationships by proactively identifying and engaging prospective business clients.
- Conduct needs assessments to recommend appropriate cash‑management solutions tailored to each customers operations.
- Prepare proposals, pricing, and product recommendations tailored to client needs.
- Partner with commercial lenders and retail team to support cross‑selling efforts and deepen existing relationships.
Product Implementation & Onboarding
- Lead the setup and implementation of treasury products including digital banking platforms, ACH services, wire transfers, positive pay, remote deposit capture, and merchant services.
- Provide hands‑on training to clients to ensure they understand system functionality, security features, and best practices.
- Coordinate with internal operations and third‑party vendors to ensure timely and accurate product installation.
Client Support & Daily Servicing
- Serve as a point of contact for treasury management customers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving service requests.
- Monitor account activity and product usage to identify opportunities for optimization or additional services.
- Maintain strong communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and long‑term retention.
- Maintain treasury management information on the online Vault (intranet), website, and provide content for treasury management e-newsletter.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure all cash‑management activities comply with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
- Assist clients in understanding fraud‑prevention tools and promote adoption of services such as positive pay and dual‑control processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all product setups, agreements, and client interactions.
Other:
- Work as one collective bank team and assist in other departments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate holds a four‑year degree in business, accounting, or a related field, or brings equivalent professional experience, along with at least five years of business development or banking experience. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills are essential, as is a solid understanding of business accounting principles. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across departments. A customer‑focused mindset and a commitment to delivering high‑quality service are key to success in this position.
