Full Time Position (Up to $80-90k a year)
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mechanic with specialized expertise in heavy diesel, trucks, and construction equipment. This role will focus on complex repairs, diagnosing major issues, and maintaining critical machinery to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues on heavy diesel trucks and equipment.
Perform basic maintenance tasks, including fluid and oil changes, as well as resolving exhaust system issues.
Perform major engine, transmission, and hydraulic repairs.
Conduct routine maintenance inspections and ensure vehicles and equipment meet regulatory standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues on-site and in the workshop.
Ability to restore and repair heavily damaged vehicles, bringing them back to operational condition
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time spent on tasks.
Assist in procurement of parts and materials needed for repairs.
Provide training and oversight to junior mechanics when necessary.
Key Traits:
Strong technical knowledge of heavy diesel engines, trucks, and construction equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
A problem-solver with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in heavy diesel mechanics preferred.
5+ years of experience working with heavy trucks and equipment.
Extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel engines and machinery.
Valid driver's license and ability to work in various conditions (shop and field).
