Job Description

What you'll do as the Development Engineer:

  • Develop and test code to deliver functionality in line with business strategy and objectives.
  • Build work to implement features from the product backlog.
  • Size user stories and create detailed project documentation.
  • Unit test code, create automated test scripts, and execute other testing-related tasks.
  • Validate deliverables against user story acceptance tests.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure features meet business needs.
  • Follow agile development methodologies for both development and documentation.
  • Work with infrastructure, security, and other internal teams.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Frontend Development Expertise: AngularJS, CSS3, HTML5, ReactJS (strong experience), Core JavaScript.
  • UI Component Development: Experience building and maintaining design systems or component libraries with documentation across multiple teams.
  • Testing Frameworks: Cypress or Playwright, React Testing Library, or other unit testing frameworks.
  • Design Tools: Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, with a focus on close collaboration with UX teams.
  • Build Tools: Experience with Webpack or Vite and knowledge in state management.

What you'll bring to the Development Engineer role:

  • 3-7 years of experience in an engineering role.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Scrum certification is a plus.
  • Experience with test-driven development and software test automation.
  • Deep experience with agile methodologies (e.g., user stories, iterative development).
