UI Developer - Retail Services

Expected duration: 3 months contract to perm Summary Description: The Retail Services team is in search for a solid hands-on UI developer. The developer will be responsible for design and development of front-end web applications and modules for various Financial/retail web applications. The position requires interaction with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Marketing, QA team, Vendor and production support teams to ensure successful project delivery, maintenance and support. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Development of enhancements, bug fixes and backlog features. Providing technical assistance to Project Managers and Business Analysts with project planning and review sessions. Designing (low-level) solutions for bug fixes and enhancements. Participating in pier-to-pier code reviews. Troubleshooting application performance and security issues in production. Working closely with Quality Assurance and Marketing team in resolving defects. Assisting with application transition to support teams and managing application documentation. Providing logistical/technical support to vendor teams. Desired skill set: Excellent Oral and Written communication skills. Strong Hands-on experience with Javascript, HTML5 & CSS3. Strong experience with JQuery framework. Solid knowledge of build frameworks, Grunt experience preferred. Experience with Java Web Application Frameworks, Spring MVC preferred. Experience with Web Application deployment and debugging preferably on Tomcat Server. Experience with Version Control Systems, SVN and Git preferred. Strong experience with Responsive design and frameworks. (bootstrap preferred) Strong experience with Template Frameworks. (Free marker preferred) Expertise in dealing with cross browser compatibility issues. Experience with Word Press. (definitely a plus, but not mandatory) Suitable candidates will be picked for phone screens followed by formal in-house interviews.
