  • The registered Sonographer will provide ultrasound services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department.  
  • Verifies patient and procedural information
  • Prepares patients for exams; educates patients and family members.
  • Performs exams; processes films and communicates and transmits reports to physicians.
  • Complies and organizes data for Radiologist.
  • Files films, stocks, prepares and cleans exam rooms
  • May schedule patients for procedures and transport patients.  

Requirements

  • Certification- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in a least one of the advanced certifications, but preferably two.
  • Certification-Basic Life Support (CPR) with in 7 days of hire
