Job Summary/Basic Function:
To assist with the UMBS's Summer Bridge program to support 60 Marysville Pilchuck High School (HS) on and off campus. This position will assist the UBMS full-time staff and chaperon HS students.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist HS while on and off campus, such as introducing students and helping navigate campus resources
  • Prepare Summer supplies such as a field trip backpack and on-campus activities supplies
  • Create a sign-in sheet document for HS to sign in each day
  • Answering the phone as a UBMS greeting person
  • Assist with set-up and clean-up of events on campus and field trip events
  • Maintain and monitor budget and inform supervisor of status
  • Establish and maintain records and files, record statistical information
  • Perform complex word processing tasks such as merging and sorting, integrating text with graphics, spreadsheet and database files, uploading and downloading, and creating footnotes and outlines
  • Use spreadsheet and database software to develop and maintain records
  • Use basic statistical software packages and simple computer inquiry programming
  • Use graphics software and make recommendations regarding appropriate display of graphic information
  • May order, receive, and maintain inventory
  • May use desktop publishing software
  • May direct the work of others
  • Perform related duties as required


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current High School students or High School graduates
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Ability to speak in public and motivate others
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be currently enrolled student at Everett Community College and participating in the TRIO Student Support Services Program
  • Must remain in good academic standing with EvCC
  • Experience contributing to a workplace culture of respect, advocacy, and engagement


Preferred Qualifications:
High School graduates from Marysville Pilchuck High School

Physical Demands:

Work Hours: Part-time, maximum 69 hours per month.
Project employment, anticipated to end August 15, 2024.
