Position Name: Respiratory Therapist (Allied)

Location: Johnson City, NY 13790

Pay Rate: $56/hr

Contract Length: 13 weeks contract

Shift: Night

Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed

"Your pay is based on whether you are in a local or travel position. A travel position is defined as residing more than 50 miles from the facility."

Responsibilities:

• Assess, treat, and care for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Administer respiratory therapies, such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator support.
• Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Perform diagnostic tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments, equipment use, and disease management.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy

Preferred:

• One (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist

License/Certification Minimum Required:

• New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License
• Registered by the NBRC as a Respiratory Therapist
• BLS Certification (Required)

Work Environment:

• Work performed on all patient care units, mostly at bedside
• Ability to push equipment
• Limited access to O outlets
