Location: Moab, UT, 84532

Assignment Start Date: 12/24/2024

This position is a non-exempt, full-time, benefitted position.

Anticipated schedule: Monday Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM with occasional Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Reports to: OTP Director

Starting pay range: $34.50 to $38/hour, DOE; $71,760.00 to $79,040.00

This position provides counseling and support to individuals struggling with primary substance abuse disorder and dual diagnosis. The counselor will work with patients throughout their treatment journey, from intake to discharge, and will collaborate with the treatment team to ensure a comprehensive recovery plan.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

  • Complete intake, admission, discharge, and transfer paperwork.
  • Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
  • Educate patients on all aspects of treatment, related health issues, and steps to recovery.
  • Assist in monitoring patient activities on center premises.
  • Report patient abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
  • Report patient grievances.

Treatment Planning:

  • Develop psychosocial assessments and individualized treatment plans.
  • Identify and address clinical and case management needs.

Compliance & Confidentiality:

  • Ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
  • Maintain proper licensure and certifications.
  • Participate in preparation for surveys and inspections.

Professionalism & Teamwork:

  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Act in the best interests of the program and company.
  • Participate in community relations activities.
  • Work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Other Duties:

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION (Nurse Practioner Position)

Experience:

  • Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy is required

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred

Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be dependable
  • Organized and resourceful self-starter; strong ability to work in a team.
  • Interest in and motivated to work closely with community resources on the patient's behalf.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities due to the nature of liaison work on interdisciplinary teams.
  • Compassion for and interest in working with vulnerable populations, including patients with mental health issues and addiction.
  • Non-judgmental attitude and firm personal boundaries.
  • Computer skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Organized
  • Compassionate
  • Advocate
  • Interpersonal/communication skills
  • Sitting for long periods may be necessary while using the computer and talking on the phone.
