Utility Data Analyst Ev Charging Apply
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst – Electric Vehicle Charging Data to support the commercial managed charging program, Smart Charge Commercial, within the E-Mobility team. This role plays a critical part in analyzing and managing EV charging data to support program design, operational decisions, and regulatory reporting.
This position involves highly repetitive data tasks and requires exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy. The ideal candidate is comfortable troubleshooting data inconsistencies and working with large, complex datasets.
Key Responsibilities
Data Acquisition & Management
Download, aggregate, and manage EV charging datasets from multiple sources, including:
Network service provider dashboards
Charger-level data
Meter-level data
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal reporting standards
Identify and resolve data quality issues across large datasets
Data Analysis & Insights
Analyze EV charging data to identify trends in utilization, energy consumption, and charging behavior
Conduct trend analysis and develop load profiles and forecasts to support grid planning and managed charging initiatives
Apply statistical and data visualization techniques to effectively communicate findings
Reporting & Collaboration
Collaborate with assistant program managers and external partners to refine data requirements
Support troubleshooting and resolution of data inconsistencies
Translate technical findings into actionable insights for operational and program teams
Required Qualifications (Must-Have)
2–5 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role
Proficiency in Python for data analysis
Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools
Strong experience working with large datasets and data cleaning techniques
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis
Solid understanding of EV charging infrastructure and energy systems
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
Experience analyzing EV charging data
Familiarity with EV telematics, charger-level, and meter-level data
Salesforce experience
Knowledge of utility operations, managed charging programs, or demand response
Ability to interpret technical reports and apply insights to real-world scenarios
Comfortable learning and adopting new technologies
