New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across Michigan, in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.
Location: Clarkston
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or other full-time equivalent.
Reports To: Clinical Director / Clinical Supervisor
Compensation: Salary Employee. Commensurate with experience
Position Summary: The Utilization Review Therapist is a fulltime position comprised of multiple clinical and administrative responsibilities related primarily to the FACE to FACE Partial Hospitalization Program with some possible involvement in the Outpatient Program. This position will require working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide the highest quality of care to clients.

Essential Duties / Functions:
- Complete Utilization Review assignments including the clinical review of medical records to ensure compliance with medical necessity and case documentation requirements including appropriate level of care, treatment, diagnosis, length of stay, and discharge planning.
- Coordinate and complete initial and re-authorization requests and/or case reviews to ensure authorization guidelines are met.
- Responsible for keeping administration and clinical team informed of all current and new requirements relating to the process of authorization and continued stay funding.
- Provide case management services as needed.
- Provide initial assessments, individual therapy, family therapy and/or group therapy to clients in the FACE to FACE and/or Outpatient Program (when necessary) in accordance with professional standards and policies/procedures of the facility.
- Complete documentation as required by the clinic’s policies/procedures.
- Attend daily FACE to FACE administrative/clinical meetings.
- Promotes quality and efficiency in the delivery of care management services.
- Ability to resolve all crisis situations appropriately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Master Degree and licensure in social work, professional counseling, or psychology required. Must be able to work well with all types of people and all populations including children, adolescents, and adults.
