Our Digital User Experience CoE is looking for a talented, well-rounded user experience designer. The designer should be comfortable operating as a developer of a Scrum team, focusing on design/research, but being able to help the rest of team meet the sprint goal, whether that be QA, content writing, frontend development, etc. As a designer on the Scrum team, you will be an advocate for our users, while balancing business requests and needs. Until our design system reaches a level of maturity, the UX designer should also have a strong level of visual design skills to help guide the Scrum team. This role is a long-term contract with the hope of converting to full time. Required: Minimum Bachelor's degree Agile Scrum experience Online portfolio Expert-level UX research skills Experience with Sketch, Axure, Photoshop and other Adobe products Knowledge of Lean Startup Comfort in the unknown as well as failing fast Excellent time management The desire to collaborate with a team Comfortable drawing paper prototypes or hand drawing anywhere for that matter Experience facilitating usability testing and human-centered design workshops A strong desire to grow and teach others Intermediate HTML/CSS experience, ideally considering HTML and CSS as a prototyping medium A desire to be of a true Scrum team, having T-shaped skillsets and being willing and capable to step in and wear multiple hats necessary to meet a sprint goal Willingness to learn new skills and technologies A passion for accessibility and WCAG compliance
