About the customerOur client is a global pioneer and market leader in 3D printing technology. From its Innovation Center in Leuven, the Application Innovation Group (AIG) works on the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies for 3D metal printing.About the roleAs a Validation Engineer, you will play a key role, ensuring that new printers, upgrades and materials developed by R&D are thoroughly validated before they go into production. Your work is essential to guarantee that production processes meet the stringent requirements of industries such as medical devices and aerospace. You will directly contribute to the quality and reliability of the manufactured parts.You will be responsible for the entire validation process of 3D metal printing systems. This includes developing the strategy, executing the plan, analyzing data and preparing final reports.Your responsibilities are:Developing validation plans and strategies for both new and existing equipment.Conducting validation studies, including process characterization, Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ).Coordinating validation jobs, including preparing test setups, working with internal and external laboratories and monitoring the results.Analyzing test data using statistical methods (e.g., SPC) and preparing detailed validation protocols and reports based on your findings.Collaborating closely with R&D, production and the US-based team to align processes and methodologies between sites.Staying informed about industry standards, particularly in the medical and aerospace sectors.Occasionally support customer validation efforts on-site.Your profileA Bachelor or Master degree in a technical field, or equivalent through relevant experienceProven experience in a Process Engineer, Quality Engineer, Manufacturing, Validation Engineer or a similar experience within a technical production environment.Strong affinity for statistical analysis (e.g., SPC)Knowledge of validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) and quality standards in the medical or aerospace industry is a strong assetYou are analytical, structured and able to work autonomouslyYou have a genuine interest in understanding and validating complex technical processes from A to ZYou are a team player who communicates effectively with both internal and external stakeholdersFluent in English is an absolute requirement.
