VCF Resident Engineer
Location: Onsite in Bedford, MA
Clearance Requirement: Minimum Secret Clearance

Salary: 125-160K (depending on experience)

We are seeking a VCF Resident Engineer to support and maintain a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environment. This role requires hands-on expertise in managing and optimizing virtualized infrastructures, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the VCF platform. Must be able to work onsite in Bedford, MA on a daily basis. We can help with relocation if you are looking to move to the area.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain the VCF environment, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Manage, configure, and troubleshoot vSphere, ESXi, NSX, and vSAN components.
• Provide technical expertise and support for virtualization infrastructure, ensuring system integrity and security compliance.
• Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades as required.
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to support mission-critical operations.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Ensure adherence to DoD security policies and best practices for virtualization environments.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance or higher
• Strong experience with vSphere, ESXi, NSX, and vSAN.
• Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
• Familiarity with virtualization security best practices in a DoD environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Certifications (Required):

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• CompTIA Security+
