Veterinary Village is seeking certified veterinary assistants!
Veterinary Village, located in rural Wisconsin but within driving distance of major cities in Wisconsin, is growing and is hiring! Established in 1982, Veterinarian Village is privately owned and operated. The clinic currently has six practicing veterinarians including Dr. Marty Greer, the 2023 Westminster Kennel Club Veterinarian of the Year award winner!

Our clinic specializes in dog and cat wellness and prevention, surgeries, reproduction, chiropractic techniques, laser therapy and more. We utilize low-stress handling, Fear Free principles with our patients. We have lab technology on site that allows us to see test results quickly and make health decisions/treatments based on those results.
Veterinary Village is seeking veterinary assistants who are:
· Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can deal with them even when stressed, ill or in pain.
· Is well spoken and approaches job duties in a mature nature.
· Can support and participate in a team approach to work; works well with all levels of hospital team members.
· Ability to build rapport with clients, team members and leadership
Job duties include but are not limited to:
· Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas in accordance with clinic standards.
· Effectively restrain pets.
· Assists in reception area.
· Obtain medical history at appointments.
· Client education.
· Set up clinical laboratory procedures such as fecal floatation exams, heartworm tests, skin scrapings, urinalysis, ear cytology and fungal cultures.
· Assist with diagnostic procedures (radiographs, ultrasound, etc.).
· Performs other duties as assigned including assisting in other areas.
