Fetch Veterinary is seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team. In this vital role, you will work alongside our experienced Oncologists to provide high-quality care for pets diagnosed with cancer. Your compassion and expertise will make a direct impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians in all aspects of oncology patient care, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Prepare patients for chemotherapy and other oncological procedures
  • Administer treatments and medications as prescribed, including chemotherapies and other IV therapies
  • Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and perform vital sign checks
  • Collect and analyze laboratory samples, including blood work and urine samples
  • Provide education and emotional support to pet owners about treatment options and care plans
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all documentation is up to date
  • Assist in the upkeep of the oncology treatment area and ensure all equipment is properly prepared and cleaned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a veterinary technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician, preferably in an oncology or specialty setting
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and materials
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
  • Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
  • Proficiency with veterinary software and basic computer skills
