Vice President, Accounting About the Company Industry-leading organization in the specialty consumer products sector IndustryConsumer Services TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President of Accounting, also known as the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), to join their dynamic, publicly traded organization. The successful candidate will be a strategic accounting leader responsible for driving enterprise-wide transformation and ensuring the integrity and modernization of the accounting infrastructure. This role involves leading accounting operations, including corporate and financial reporting, and spearheading initiatives for centralization, standardization, and automation. The VP of Accounting will also be tasked with building high-performing teams, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and public company standards, and supporting strategic initiatives such as SEC reporting, earnings cycles, and investor reporting. Applicants must have an active CPA license, a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (Master's degree preferred), and at least 15 years of progressive accounting leadership experience, with a significant background in public company accounting. The role requires deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance, as well as a proven track record in leading accounting transformation and automation initiatives. Experience in managing multi-location, inventory-intensive operations, and a background in a Big 4 or national public accounting firm are preferred. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing complex accounting judgments, and disclosures, and will have a strong focus on driving change and making a lasting impact on the organization's financial operations.
