Vice President, Engineering About the Company Reputable engineering & consulting firm specializing in power & utilities IndustryManagement Consulting TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President for Electric Utilities to play a pivotal role in the strategic expansion and growth of its utility business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving aggressive revenue growth, developing and executing strategies to expand client relationships, and securing multi-year partnerships with larger utility players. This role demands a leader with a strong technical background in substation design, protection/control, relay settings, and transmission line engineering, who can also bring clarity, structure, and strategic direction to a team. The Vice President will be a visible member of the senior leadership team, shaping the company's market approach and long-term roadmap, and will be expected to lead the business through complexity, balancing technical rigor with commercial and people leadership. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in an engineering leadership role, and a proven track record of leading large, multi-disciplinary teams. A high EQ leadership style, focused on mentorship, clarity, and team morale, is essential, as is strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L oversight and business development. The role requires a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, and a PE is preferred. The ideal candidate will be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and be ready to take on the challenge of leading one of the company's most critical growth engines in a flexible, people-first environment.
