We are seeking a Vice President, Finance to help lead the company through its next stage of growth and operational maturity.


Position Overview

The Vice President of Finance is a senior finance leader responsible for enterprise financial operations, FP&A, and performance management across a multi-entity national services platform. This role partners closely with the CFO, operations leadership, and external stakeholders to deliver timely insights, strengthen controls, scale systems, and ensure the finance organization supports growth, and acquisitions.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic perspective and operational depth in job-costing, percent-of-completion accounting, and multi-location services environments.

What You'll Own

  • Financial Leadership & Business Partnership
    • Serve as finance partner to Operations, Regional Leaders, and Executive Team
    • Translate operational performance into actionable financial insight
    • Support CFO in board reporting, investor updates, and lender communications
    • Drive accountability around margins, labor efficiency, and job profitability
  • FP&A, Forecasting & Performance Management
    • Own annual budgeting, rolling forecast, and long-range planning processes
    • Build driver-based models for revenue, job margins, labor, utilization, and cash flow
    • Develop dashboards for branch, region, and enterprise-level performance
    • Analyze variances and provide recommendations to operational leaders
  • Systems, Process, & Scale
    • Implement rigorous forecasting process
    • Improve job costing, POC workflows, and reporting framework
    • Increase productivity removing manual close dependencies and spreadsheet risk
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead and develop FP&A and support accounting / finance operations teams
    • Build finance leaders capable of supporting significant growth
    • Establish performance standards, cadence, and accountability
What You Bring
  • Required Experience & Skills
    • 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
    • GAAP knowledge and financial reporting background
    • Experience scaling finance in a growth environment
    • Ownership mindset with high integrity
    • Operator-friendly communicator
    • Comfortable working in fast-paced, imperfect environments
    • Able to challenge the business constructively
    • Hands-on leader who raises the bar across teams
  • Preferred
    • CPA and/or MBA
    • Senior leadership experience in construction services industry
    • M&A experience
    • Prior audit experience
    • CFO-track ambition
