The successful candidate will be a trusted and steady leader, responsible for strengthening the organization's internal operations, financial and organizational discipline, and enterprise-wide effectiveness. This pivotal role involves partnering with the President & CEO to implement the strategic plan, overseeing financial management, and ensuring the organization's growth is supported by strong internal infrastructure. The VP will also be instrumental in fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture that can adapt to the increased scale of programs, staff, and geographic reach. Key responsibilities for the Vice President include organizational strategy and leadership, financial oversight, team leadership, and culture, as well as systems, risk, and governance. The role requires a minimum of 10 years' leadership experience in nonprofit, conservation, or mission-driven organizations, with a proven track record in operations, financial management, and leading multi-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, be adept at managing diverse priorities, and possess the ability to bring structure and operational discipline without compromising the organization's mission-driven ethos. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree, and the role may involve domestic and international travel.
