Reporting Relationship:

Reports to the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (SVP & CFO)


Position Summary

The Vice President, Finance is responsible for planning, managing, and implementing all consolidated hospital financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and internal financial controls. This role establishes and oversees policies and procedures that strengthen financial stewardship, enhance the hospital’s financial position, and ensure compliance with independent auditors and the Board of Trustees.


The VP, Finance directs financial accounting and reporting practices in accordance with Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) requirements, U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and applicable regulatory, state, and federal standards. Working collaboratively across the organization, this leader enhances financial reporting and review processes, improves financial literacy, and supports the development of strategic financial initiatives.

The position also serves as the primary liaison to external partners, including accountants and auditors, rating agencies, financial advisors, and insurance brokers.


Qualifications

  • Hybrid role with flexibility; regular on-site presence is required as determined by management


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (preferred)


Licenses & Certifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred)


Work Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of combined healthcare and/or public accounting experience (required)
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience (preferred)
  • Preference given to candidates who have demonstrated mastery of job responsibilities through successful performance in similar roles across multiple organizations


Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
