Role: Vice President, Tampa Heavy Civil Infrastructure

Salary: $300-350k base salary + attractive benefits

contractor specializing in complex and challenging heavy civil and infrastructure projects across the nation.
They seek a Vice President to lead their operations in the Tampa, Florida region.
This key leadership role plays a crucial role in driving strategic growth as they are expanding geographically in the area, exceeding client expectations, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of Tampa operations, including project acquisition, execution, budgeting, staffing, and client relationships.
  • Develop and implement a strategic regional growth plan, identifying and pursuing new market opportunities aligned with groups overall corporate objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners throughout the Tampa Bay/Florida area.
  • Oversee all project delivery within the region, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and adherence to the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Recruit, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies, identifying and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance a competitive advantage in the region.
  • Represent the organization in the Tampa community, actively participating in professional organizations and industry events.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role within the heavy civil and infrastructure markets, including highways, bridges, rail and transit.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic business development, client relationship management, and project execution.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of construction budgeting and cost control.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and ethical business practices.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus, but not essential.
