Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients face-to-face, whether in person or at detention centers, to evaluate their legal needs and craft the most effective strategy for their case.
• Manage a diverse caseload of misdemeanors and felonies, overseeing each case from initiation to resolution.
• Represent clients at hearings and trials in Northern Virginia state courts.
• Draft, submit, and present court motions, memoranda, and legal documents to state judges in Northern Virginia.

Qualifications:

• Admitted to the Virginia State Bar and licensed to practice law in Virginia.
• A minimum of 3 years of criminal defense experience, including felony cases and jury trials.
• Proven ability to handle both state and federal criminal cases (federal experience is a plus).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to advocate effectively in and out of the courtroom.
• Demonstrated trial experience with a successful track record in criminal defense cases.
