Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients face-to-face, whether in person or at detention centers, to evaluate their legal needs and craft the most effective strategy for their case.
- Manage a diverse caseload of misdemeanors and felonies, overseeing each case from initiation to resolution.
- Represent clients at hearings and trials in Northern Virginia state courts.
- Draft, submit, and present court motions, memoranda, and legal documents to state judges in Northern Virginia.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to the Virginia State Bar and licensed to practice law in Virginia.
- A minimum of 3 years of criminal defense experience, including felony cases and jury trials.
- Proven ability to handle both state and federal criminal cases (federal experience is a plus).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to advocate effectively in and out of the courtroom.
- Demonstrated trial experience with a successful track record in criminal defense cases.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $100,000+ annually, with opportunities for KPI-based bonuses.
