Position Overview: The VisionWalk Specialist is a key role on our VisionWalk team, providing excellent logistical and organizational support, in collaboration with other regional team members, to ensure VisionWalks happen on time, on budget, and in alignment with our organizational values. This position is responsible for the development, management, and execution of VisionWalks and kickoff events, providing all back-end logistical support to cultivate relationships and achieve fundraising goals.

Position Specifics:

  • Officed from home: Foundation provides laptop, monitor, printer, keyboard/ mouse
  • Must reside in a territory within the West Region. Relocation not provided
    • West Coast Territory: Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Sacramento
    • Pacific NW Territory: San Francisco, Seattle, Portland
    • Mountain Territory: Denver, Phoenix
  • The budgeted salary for this position is $60,000$70,000 annually

The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The exact amount will vary dependent on location. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, and experience

  • Annual Incentive Bonus Eligible up to 5% of annual salary
  • Monthly Technology Stipend Provided: $120
  • Full-time, Flexible schedule with some evening and weekends required
  • Reporting to Regional Director; No direct reports
  • 25% travel

Primary Responsibilities: The following are representative of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position and are not meant to be an all-inclusive list:

  • Collaborate with Community Managers, VisionWalk Assistants, and National VisionWalk Director to provide all planning and logistical support for VisionWalks and kickoff events with a focus on bottom-line results
  • Coordinate and execute contracts related to site selection, logistics, vendors, volunteers, and speakers
  • Attend committee planning meetings (virtually and/or in-person) and VisionWalks for day of set up, leading volunteers, and take down
  • Collaborate with internal Foundation departments on fiscal management of events, including budgeting, contract negotiation, and invoices
  • Manage the each VisionWalk before, during, and after; ensuring assigned VisionWalk events are on budget and on time
  • Collaborate with field team to develop annual communication plan which accounts for market activities & events
  • Cultivate volunteer VisionWalk Team Captains, committee members, or other community members as identified by Community Manager and VisionWalk Director and facilitate internal relationship handoffs
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment, day-of management, and training; in-kind donation solicitation; organization of event day supplies
  • Assist with data entry, gift management, and event communications and collateral

ESSENTIAL Qualifications:

  • 3 years of demonstrated non-profit event planning; must have prior walk or signature event experience
  • Applied experience with donor databases; Working knowledge of relational databases and event management platforms
  • Experience leading and motivating volunteers, as well as developing and maintaining positive relationships with donors and community members
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiastic, takes initiative, and has strong follow-up skills
  • Strong fiscal management skills, including budget preparation, planning, analysis, decision making, and reporting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; Proven ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and of varying physical and cognitive proficiencies
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to work a flexible week
  • -weekends, and evenings, as necessary
  • Must have reliable transportation and ability to use own vehicle for transporting supplies and materials.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
  • Possession of valid drivers license with driving record acceptable to Foundation insurance carrier
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID and requires documentation of vaccinations.
