Visual Merchandising Designer Global Industrial Color Apply
Industrial Color is looking for a global visual merchandising designer to support our luxury beauty client. This role partners with our client and spends 3 days per week onsite in midtown Manhattan. The global visual merchandising designer will be involved in various aspects of visual merchandising from initial design development to execution. The role involves developing innovative and customer centric design solutions through collaboration with the Retail and Merchandising team. The designer will bring their ideas to life through presentation materials and detailed drawings. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining consistency of the brand VM style standards throughout the global markets.
Accountabilities
- Work closely with the Retail Design and Visual Merchandising team to create compelling Visual Merchandising designs in POS
- Design and guideline development for seasonal product launches including launch podiums, window displays, events and special projects based on briefs from global marketing and creative departments.
- The ability to design from initial concept through 3-D computer renderings.
- Create technical drawings and planograms in Sketchup for merchandising displays, launch units, and permanent merchandising.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional and external agency partners.
- Maintain awareness of trends, styles, materials and technology relative to the prestige and luxury beauty market.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of sustainable design best practices and proactively apply to all projects.
- Support with project management and related administrative tasks
- Maintain project archive and server
Requirements
• Expresses and decodes Brand’s image, values and sense of purpose.
• Knowledge of Luxury product and aesthetic.
• Able to integrate Market specificities.
• Understanding of consumer paths and customer experiences rules
- Qualifications
- Bachelor of Industrial, Interior, Product, Furniture design (or equivalent) degree is required.
- Outstanding organizational skills and fine attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and prioritize.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible and imaginative with an elevated sense of three-dimensional design.
- Understanding of luxury beauty market and aesthetic.
- Expert in utilizing 3d modeling software (Sketchup)
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite ability (Particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign),Powerpoint
Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
