Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Visualization Engineer for Idaho Falls, ID.  This is a part time onsite position.

Headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Navarro has active programs in place across the nation for DOE/NNSA, NASA, and the Department of Defense.

Provide support to the IEC Environmental Restoration GIS Lead in the preparation of maps and figures for inclusion in reports, plans, and other regulatory deliverables; assist in the development and maintenance of maps and GIS project data sets and performing GIS system maintenance and editing tasks.  

  • Preparation of maps and figures
  • Development and maintenance of GIS dataset
  • GIS system maintenance and editing

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in GIS, geospatial technologies, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience using GIS in a professional setting
  • Proficient in producing maps in Arc GIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience using a wide variety of GIS software tools
  • Experience editing GIS data with a high degree of accuracy
  • Skills and experience with cartographic design
  • Understanding of coordinate systems
  • Ability to identify problems and work in a team environment to find solutions
  • Able to work with established workflows and manage multiple tasks
  • Use and knowledge of GPS and field surveying
