The Role / Responsibilities:

Serving as a strategic partner and advisor to the Chief Audit Executive to help deliver on objectives and drive planning and execution.
This role encompasses management, project execution and operational responsibilities across a wide range of opportunities and challenges, making significant impact within the Moodys organization.
The role requires a combination of resourcefulness, strong organization, focus and flexibility, emotionally intelligent communications skills, ability to play an active, behind-the-scenes role, a high degree of personal and professional integrity, and discretion.


IA Strategy:

Works closely with the IA management team to develop the internal audit strategy and internal audit plan, driving the annual risk assessment process.


Serves as member of IA leadership team; attends weekly management meetings; identifies agenda items; coordinates follow up to ensure execution of agreed-upon actions and effective flow of relevant information across the leadership team.


Leads special projects as assigned by the CAE, typically on time sensitive matters or that require quick-turnaround turnaround.
Executes with minimal direction or outside assistance.


Proactively drive change and innovation within the Internal Audit team, to stay ahead of audit assurance practices and trends and challenge and evolve IAs approach to be best in class.


Facilitate annual strategy, initiative and budget planning processes; ensure success criteria and metrics are captured for initiatives and monitor progress throughout the year.
Partners with Business Planning on budget and resourcing for IA and manages routine budget requests and issues.
Monitor IA spend and manage IA budget variance requests.


Works closely with CAE's Executive Assistant on CAE's schedule; confirms that CAE's attendance is required at requested meetings and that there is a clear agenda and objectives.
Stands in for the CAE as appropriate and provides relevant updates.


Attract, develop, motivate and retain a highly diverse and effective IA team.
Work with IA management to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of IA resources, leveraging different audit approaches and innovative audit tools.


Quality:

Responsible for the Internal Audit Quality Assurance & Improvement Program, including maintaining the Internal Audit Charter and comprehensive Internal Audit Standards supporting the delivery of value-added audit activities, and leading the annual self-assessment.


Serve as point person within IA for the Audit Module of the Open Pages GRC, including training the audit team, working through any issues and partnering with the ARC GRC lead on reporting or any updates needed.


Monitor Key Performance Indicators and metrics that support quality and continuous improvement; provide summary reporting and analysis, highlighting challenges.


Manages outsourced audit service provider including budgeting, selection, negotiating, contracting and contract performance monitoring.


Board & Regulatory Reporting:

Coordinates development of wide range of materials to support the CAE, including preparation of Audit Committee materials, as well as various regional boards

Draft responses to regulatory requests for IA information.

The Department / Team

The Moodys Internal Audit team is dedicated to providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve the Companys operations and the effectiveness of the control, risk management, and compliance processes.


For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is 160,100 to 232,000, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
This range is based on a full-time position.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
