Role: VP-Level Programme Manager / Delivery Lead EU AI Act
Location: Whippany, NJ (Hybrid)

Type: Long-term contract Core Objective: Lead and manage large-scale organizational change initiatives related to EU AI Act compliance, including governance, policy, standards, and control frameworks - not just tech delivery. Top 3 Must-Have Capabilities

• Proven large-scale organizational change management experience - driving transformation across multiple business units, not limited to IT or engineering.
• Strong cross-functional stakeholder management - able to lead working groups with SMEs from Legal, Risk, Compliance, Operations, HR, etc.
• Deep understanding of regulatory-driven change (preferably in financial services, AI, or sustainability domains).

• Manage cross-functional working groups to assess and implement compliance with the EU AI Act.

• Translate legal and regulatory obligations into actionable enterprise-level change programs.

• Identify gaps in policies, standards, and controls; design and execute remediation plans.

• Support governance and program oversight for senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

• Deliver programs on time, within scope and budget, while maintaining risk and control discipline.

• Drive organizational readiness through training, communication, and adoption planning.

• VP or equivalent level in Programme/Change Management within Banking or Financial Services.

• 10 15+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale programs (compliance, sustainability, AI, or operational transformation).

• Skilled in governance, KPI reporting, risk management, and regulatory engagement.

• Strong executive communication and influence skills - can manage Board-level and regulatory interactions.

• Experience navigating new regulatory domains (AI, ESG, Data Privacy, etc.).

• Exposure to Sustainability, Responsible AI, or Model Risk Management programs.

• Prior experience in EU or global regulatory programs.

• Background in consulting or change management with financial institutions.

• Junior project managers or delivery managers focused on system/product changes.

• Candidates without clear experience leading cross-functional, regulatory-driven organizational transformation.

• Tech-only profiles (SDEs, Product Managers, or Engineering Program Managers).
