Job Title: Vice President of Accounting and Finance
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Salary: $150K - $200K base + 10% discretionary bonus
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Accounting and Finance for a confidential client in the Chicago area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience managing a team and overseeing various accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of the General Ledger and P&L statements
Manage A/R, A/P, and Payroll
Oversee production of KPIs and revenue and expense variance analysis
Reconcile accruals to cash accounting statements
Generate and maintain P&L’s for additional business units and department level P&L’s
Manage a staff of over 10
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA required
8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Experience managing an accounting team of 7 or more people
Proficiency in Sage accounting system and advanced Excel skills
Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or manufacturing industries preferred
Experience automating manual accounting processes
