Our client, a growing employee-owned (ESOP) organization, is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Human Resources to lead its people strategy during an exciting period of growth. This executive leadership role will partner closely with senior leadership to build scalable HR programs, strengthen leadership development, enhance recruiting, and foster a high-performance culture across both office and field operations. If you're a builder who enjoys creating systems, developing leaders, and driving organizational growth, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Lead company-wide HR strategy, talent management, and organizational development. Build leadership development and succession planning programs. Develop scalable recruiting strategies and workforce planning initiatives. Strengthen employee engagement, retention, and an employee-owner culture. Partner with operational leaders to improve performance, accountability, and organizational effectiveness. Oversee HR operations, employee relations, compliance, HR systems, and people analytics. Implement scalable HR processes that support continued growth. Required Qualifications 7-10 years of progressive HR leadership experience. Experience supporting construction, skilled trades, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, or other field-based organizations. Proven success building HR systems, teams, or processes from the ground up. Strong leadership development and talent management experience. Experience supporting high-growth organizations and scaling operations. Executive-level communication and business partnership skills. Ability to work onsite in Phoenix with regular presence in field operations. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will bring: Experience leading HR for field-based workforces. A builder's mindset with strong operational and business acumen. A proven track record developing leaders and building high-performing teams. High accountability, urgency, and execution. A leadership style that aligns with an employee-owned culture. Preferred Qualifications ESOP experience. SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar certification. Experience implementing HR technology, workforce planning, or organizational development initiatives.
