ABOUT US:
At The One America Movement, we believe that faith is a powerful response to the spiritual crisis of
toxic polarization in America. Therefore, we support the religious community to put its moral and
spiritual resources to bear against toxic polarization. We bring faith communities together across
religious, racial, and political divides to build trust and work together to improve their communities, and
we support faith leaders to transcend toxic polarization in their congregations, their communities, and
across the country.
WHAT WE NEED:
One America Movement is looking for an experienced leader to oversee all programmatic efforts,
including our multi-faith programs, faith networks, and program support functions. This person will lead
a team of program directors, advisors, and administrative staff to ensure that all programs meet the felt
needs of faith communities while aligning with the organizational theory of change and logical
framework. They will also provide strategic direction to the expansion of program efforts both by scaling
current interventions and designing new programs. The Vice President of Programs will be responsible
for the oversight of monitoring and evaluation systems and will ensure that program interventions align
with best practices in anti-polarization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Strategic Leadership:
Oversee the work of four program streams to ensure fidelity to the organizations theory of
change and logical framework
Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence and provide strategic decision-making regarding
program strategy and approach
Make recommendations on new geographic areas and populations and support appropriate
staff to design and implement a pipeline for engagement
Identify programmatic needs and tools and work with the Program Coordinator to build and
update systems and protocols to ensure effective program implementation and staff support
Serve on the leadership team to advance organizational goals and cross-departmental priorities
Ensure internal collaboration with other departments and support functions to optimize
organizational/operational efficiency and effectiveness
People Management and Relationship Building:
Supervise a growing team of program directors, managers, and coordinators
Ensure continuous growth of staff through coaching, training, and continuous feedback
Oversee the development and management of program budgets
Create and maintain a team culture that upholds the organization's values and vision
Represent the organization with local and national funders and stakeholder groups
Serve as a subject matter expert and actively participate in external events on the subject of
combating toxic polarization
Program Oversight:
Collaborate with the Development Team and program staff on proposal development grant
reporting, delegating out tasks and assignments as appropriate
Oversee the development of program curricula and content to ensure that they are consistent
with the latest scientific research and are meeting the needs of faith communities
Guide program directors in monitoring program outcomes with a lens on continuous
improvement, quality, and consistency across programming
REQUIREMENTS
Proven ability to develop and operationalize program strategy
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to use data to inform programming and performance
Strong program management skills, including work planning, budget management, and
monitoring and evaluation
Strong knowledge of the nuanced differences within and between faith traditions and the
language and approaches that appeal to them
Knowledge of best practices in anti-polarization
Comfortable working in a leadership structure that values all voices and challenges all ideas
Entrepreneurial self-starter with experience leading remote teams
Proven ability to think strategically and execute on multiple priorities simultaneously
Proven track record managing grant-funded projects with successful outcomes
Demonstrated ability to successfully engage donors and stakeholders
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience and at least ten (10) years of professional
experience in program management, community organizing, or bridge-building programs
Proficiency in Google Suite, Salesforce, and project management software
LOCATION:
Hybrid, Washington, DC metro area. Must be available to work at the office in Bowie, MD, twice per
week. Some travel required roughly 15% of the time.
COMPENSATION:
The salary for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 annually, with growth potential. Generous benefits
