Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Days, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 8

Shift Notes: Monday-Thursday; 7a-3:30p; 36 hrs/week, other hrs will come from call

Weekend Requirements: 1-2 days/week

On-Call Requirements: 1-2 weekends/month

Surgical Associates offers general surgery services that deal with abdominal organs, soft tissue masses, and traumatic injuries. Our General Surgeon is always on call at Springfield Hospital for urgent/emergent surgery such as appendectomy, surgery to relieve bowel obstruction, or repair of complex lacerations. Some commonly performed surgical procedures include:

• Colonoscopy
• Upper GI Endoscopy
• Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder)
• Soft Tissue Mass Excision (Lipomas, cysts)
• Open and Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Repair
• Open and Laparoscopic Umbilical Hernia Repair
• Open and Laparoscopic Incisional Hernia Repair
• Excisional Biopsies
• Hemorrhoid Procedures
• Oncologic Surgery for Breast or Colon Cancer
• Antireflux Surgery
• Skin Grafting

• 2+ years of current CST experience in a hospital setting - Required
• ENDO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
• NBSTSA Required - Equivalent Cert not Accepted
• Previous Travel - Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
• This is a small community without public transport. Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.
