Ironwear, a prominent manufacturer of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is seeking a motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be essential in maintaining the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all inventory is accurately stocked, organized, and prepared for shipment. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments to facilitate smooth workflows and uphold our commitment to quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the receipt and processing of incoming stock and materials.
  • Perform inventory management tasks, including labeling, sorting, and organizing products.
  • Prepare and pack orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and quality standards.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks using appropriate equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Support inventory counts and audits as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and management regarding inventory levels and needs.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.

Additional Skills:

  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
