Job Summary The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the organization and storage of raw materials, transportation, stock control, warehousing, inventory and the flow of goods. Responsibilities also include manual loading and unloading of freight with the use of a pallet jack, hand truck or forklift, adhering to all dock safety regulations regarding the movement of freight with designated equipment. Furthermore, the warehouse associate is to follow all standard operating procedures regarding the completion of dock paperwork and dock cleanliness. The warehouse associate would also provide backup to shipping & receiving functions when necessary. Duties/Responsibilities Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database. Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products. Implement daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse. Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments. Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items. Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product. Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed. Operates forklift truck. Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports. Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Valid Driver’s License (Required) Forklift certification (Required) Must have experience with hand jack, forklift, and roll grab (Required) CDL License (preferred) Proficient computer skills including MS Office, specifically Excel (Required) Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills required Basic math skills required Must be able to speak English Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED 1 year experience in a warehouse role Physical Requirements Extended periods of standing, walking, and occasional bending Regular lifting up/moving up to 55 lbs. on a consistent basis Periodic stooping, pinching, and gripping Safety Support workplace safety and abide by OSHA policies, procedures, and instructions. Report hazards and injuries and seek advice on safe work practices. Work Environment Collaborative team atmosphere focused on processing and depositing mail. Moderate noise level.
