Position Title: Viral Filling II (VOP)

Work Location: 1 Discovery Dr, Swiftwater PA 18370

Assignment Duration: 12 months

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary:

The Filling Department’s role is to aseptically fill vaccines that are formulated through the Formulation Department. This includes filling vials and syringes, such as Flu, Adacel, and Menactra. It involves handling, loading, and movement of vials and syringes while following strict documentation and SOPs in compliance with FDA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform aseptic filling of vaccines into vials and syringes.
  • Follow SOPs and Standard Work Instructions (SWI) for each task.
  • Complete required training and track own training progress.
  • Perform aseptic cleaning and preparation of disinfection.
  • Lift/push/pull small tanks filled with disinfection and up to 25 lbs. boxes.
  • Transport pallets of syringes and vials using pallet jacks.
  • Maintain good documentation practices.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards, including no jewelry, makeup, scents, or long fingernails.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Must have some pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Must be able to follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Ability to work in sterile environments with required attire.
  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime if necessary.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rotating and changing schedules.
  • Must be reliable and maintain good attendance.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and moving equipment.
  • Required to wear sterile scrubs, gowns, hairnets, safety glasses, and steel toe boots.

Additional Information:

  • This position involves a rotating schedule, and days off may not be consecutive.
  • Good personal hygiene is mandatory.
