Position: Warehouse Associate
Work Location: Sylmar, CA 91342
Payrate: $20.00/hr
Duration: 3+ Months role with high chances of extension/conversion
Shift: (Mon - Fri) 8 am - 5 pm
Dress Code: Warehouse Attire Plain clothes
Job Description:
- Maintains all stock inventories for warehouse daily.
- Maneuvers heavy materials with the use of fork lift, pallet and hand truck as required.
- Unloads and loads shipping trucks as required and ensures that stock is accurately and safely stored in inventory area.
- Pulls stock for orders accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with company procedures.
- Assists shipping area with packaging procedures as requested.
- Assists with creation of displays and assembly of product as requested.
- Reports any injuries, concerns or discrepancies to management.
- Maintains tools, gauges and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures, with special attention to safety regulations.
- Cleaning of bathrooms and break rooms, removing all trash, sweep up offices, sweeping outside, and dusting interior offices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is frequently required to talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and prior related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
