Key Responsibilities Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory. Manage and motivate warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards within the warehouse environment. Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to improve efficiency, reduce handling time, and maximize space utilization. Maintain warehouse equipment and facilities, arranging for repairs and preventative maintenance as needed. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations, such as inventory turnover, order fulfillment rates, and labor productivity. Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics departments to ensure seamless flow of materials and timely delivery of products. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in warehouse operations management, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of inventory management, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and ERP systems. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and best practices for warehouse operations. Bonus Qualifications - Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. - Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CSCP, CLTD). - Familiarity with automation technologies in warehouse operations (e.g., AGVs, robotic picking). - Proven ability to negotiate with vendors and manage third-party logistics providers. - Experience with international shipping and customs regulations.
