Job Description
The Warehouse Manager is in the Business Services Division and reports directly to the Resource Management Section Manager. This position supervises staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations. Manages the day-to-day operations of the warehouse to include purchasing equipment and supplies, maintaining records, and monitoring budget expenditures. Manages service and supply contracts to include developing bid specifications and conducting cost comparisons. Manages the dispatch section to ensure customer issues are handled appropriately. Manages the maintenance of facility equipment to include recording departmental vehicles pools and repair history and assisting with major repairs. Assists with establishing and implementing policies and procedures and budget preparation for the department. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

  • Ability guide a group of individuals during a tour and articulate the Vision, Mission, and Values of the Department and County.
Other Job Requirements/Information
  • This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
Grade

The grade for this position is C42(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field;
  • Three years of progressive administrative experience, including two years of supervisory experience;
  • Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
