- Manages the Warehouse team, including scheduling, training, performance, and safety.
- Ensures proper segregation and storage of allergen containing product and Identity Preserved items from incoming raw materials to outgoing finished product to prevent cross contamination.
- Assists with formulation of necessary controls, procedures and operating plans to attain maximum efficiency and productivity consistent with production needs.
- Assists with effective coordination and communication of production schedule to reach 100% on-time, complete deliveries.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing company policies and operations.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements to ensure the Company is adhering to requirements.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical and cycle counts: reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; and issuing work orders for repair.
- Maintains recycling program by initiating and coordinating the scrap operation.
- Assists with daily entering of receipt of raw materials, inventory moves, supplies and finished goods in computer system.
- Assists with movement of finished goods and raw materials between main warehouse and production floor.
- Assists with coordination of the receipt of products, cartons, pallets and other supplies from suppliers as required by manufacturing.
- Assists with freight claims with carriers.
- Assists with stretch wrapping pallet process ensuring product is encased for safe shipping.
- Assist with managing and motivating warehouse employees in a manner consistent with policies and procedures established by Maud Borup.
- Establishes and maintains the necessary policies and controls to assure a safe and orderly work environment; administers plant safety and housekeeping programs.
- Is familiar with and complies with SQF Food Safety standards and ensures all product produced meets assigned quality standards, especially when dealing with allergens.
